Know your competitors, What happened to MySpace?

What happened to MySpace? I know a lot of you are wondering why MySpace is trying to be the next big thing again. I was wondering the same thing. So this is in my opinion why MySpace will die in 2011.

It’s been months and many moons since I log in to my MySpace account. Now, I use to use MySpace a lot by promoting my band 805 South. I searched for clubs that we could perform at and then I send them our MySpace link and so on. I was using it a lot but all of a sudden I stop, why because of Facebook. Now don’t get me wrong, at first I was not a Facebook junkie, but I was curious about this new social networking site that pop up in 2004 and over took the top dog MySpace, founding in 2003 on top in 2006. Facebook was on top within 2 years in 2008.

iPhone Now On Verizon

Yes! Now, I can, come back home to Verizon. I hope Verizon is not mad at me for cheating with AT&T for 2 years. When the announcement was made, I could hear the song “At Last” by Etta James playing in the back of my head.

I was a Cingular customer way back when they merged with AT&T. I was sitting in a buffet in Memphis, thinking mann I hope their service gets better when this happens. Uh, not so much, so I switch to Verizon and I was happier.

I am a Mac person and I longed for a Mac compatible phone without using third-party software. I jump ship, bought it and it rock my world, I am glad I did.

Good Company, Bad Company

You are a web design company and you do excellent web design. Here are 8 rules of thumb to use to best communicate to your clients.

Good Company
1. You have a current web site that is up-to-date and have “Live” web site samples.

2. You have prices listed on your site. If not, then have some form or email for request for free estimate.

3. You have detail description of what you do and how you will get the job done and answer all the clients questions.

Here’s the deal you are the client and you want a web site. So first thing, know what you need and follow these 8 rules of thumb.

Good Client
1. You got your “house-in-order” and you looked at all your bids and have made a decision on what web company you are going to use.

2. You have read the contract all the way through and ask questions before you start the project and pay the first payment.
