Steve Jobs resigns from Apple as CEO
August 29, 2011WTF? As many of you said last Wednesday, August 24th, when Steve Jobs resigned from Apple as CEO. I was like, really why? What will be come of Apple and will the iPad 2 be the last innovative Apple product? Who is Tim Cook and why is he next in line?
Soon these questions will be answered. Why now? Well, Jobs haven’t been feeling 100% when it comes to his health. He has had three leave of absences since the start of his CEO reign in 2004. Jobs has been battling a rare form of pancreatic cancer, during the times out, Tim Cook took over.
Steve who saved the company from a near collapse by producing the future products; iPod, iTunes, iPhone, and now iPad 2, these products changed the way we lived our lives. iPhone changed the scope of phone forever, you can now type on a screen and see your voice-mails and emails on your phone. Awesome sauce!
Tim Cook is next in line because he showed promise when Steve was out sick and took over the day-to-day operation with success. Steve will now serve as Chairman of the Board and Tim as CEO and he will also be on the board as well.
I believe no one man can do it alone, it takes a team and the leader leads that team into success. Steve Jobs was a strong leader and Tim Cook will do well. Good luck Apple!
